How does it work?
As a consignor, once your items start selling you earn 50% of the selling
price in store credit. On the 1st of every month, you will receive a check for
40% of your total sales for the previous month, minus any store credit you
might have already used. It’s that simple. As a consignor you are required to
sign a contract and guarantee to the authenticity of your items.
How long is the consignment period?
The consignment period is 90 days. After 30 days, your items will go on sale
for 25% off and 50% off after 60 days. At the end of the 90 days, 2 time
couture will contact you to pick up your items. Items not picked up will be
donated to a local charity.
Do I have to bring my clothes on hangers?
No, as long as they are freshly cleaned and dry-cleaned, nicely folded and
ready to sell. Please make sure to inspect your items as if you were the
buyer. All clothing must be free of rips, tears, stains and missing buttons.
Why freshly cleaned or dry-cleaned?
Clothing that has been stored in a closet or dresser tends to have a scent
known as “closet smell”. 2 time couture requires all clothing to be cleaned
right before brought to 2 time couture to sell. A lot of time our customers
may leave the store wearing your clothes. We like them to feel comfortable
knowing they have purchased something freshly cleaned.
What about shoes and accessories?
2 time couture only accepts new or carpet worn shoes. Your shoes must be
polished and free of dust or stains. Handbags must be cleaned and
polished when necessary. Check the pockets and make sure they are
cleaned on the inside along with the outside.
Please see a store associate and we will be happy to help.
Do you only take certain sizes?
No, the size of your clothes and shoes is not a factor on the decision process of accepting your items on consignment.
